As it is known that the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles on the day of Pentecost, so also the Holy Spirit will descend upon two new successors of the apostles this year, two new bishops. H.H. Pope Shenouda III along with the Coptic Orthodox Holy Synod will be ordaining two bishops for the lands of immigration this Pentecost,
June 15, 2008. H.H. will ordain:
Fr. Anastasi Saint Anthony as Bishop and Abbot of the Saint Anthony’s Monastery in the California Scete (Desert).
Fr. Shenouda El-Baramousy as a General Bishop in the Virginia area.
