Today, at the Cathedral of the Nativity in the New Administrative Capital, His Holiness led the Raising Incense of Vespers service in the presence of the metropolitans and bishops of the Holy Synod, and called the following monks to be ordained tomorrow during the divine Liturgy:

  1. Hegumen Arsenius El-Bakhomy as Bishop Arsenius, Bishop and Abbot for St. Pachomius Monastery, Edfu – Aswan, Egypt
  2. Hegumen Dioscorus El-Baramosy as Bishop Dioscorus, Bishop and Abbot for Abba John the Short Monastery – Al-Alamein Road, Egypt
  3. Hegumen Isidorus Abba Bishoy as Bishop Bishoy for the Diocese of Aswan, Egypt
  4. Hegumen Yacoub El-Antony as Bishop Enyanous for the Diocese of Beni Mazar & Bahnasa – Minya, Egypt
  5. Hegumen Philopateer El-Sinaee as Bishop Nopher for the Diocese of Shebin Al-Qanater – Qalyubia, Egypt
  6. Hegumen Bisenti Abba Bishoy as Bishop Bisenti for the Diocese of Abnob & Al-Fateh – Asyut, Egypt
  7. Hegumen Epiphanous El-Muharraqi as Bishop Eghnatius, General Bishop for the Diocese of Mahalla – Gharbia, Egypt
  8. Hegumen Thomas El-Tomasi as Bishop Thomas, General Bishop to assist Bishop Saweros in service for St. Victor (Boctor) Monastery – Khatatba, and St. Thomas Monastery – Khatatba & Sohag, Egypt
  9. Hegumen Archiledis El-Antony as Bishop Archiledis, General Bishop for the Archdiocese of North America (Toronto, Canada)

The Vespers and Divine Liturgy in which there will be Bishop Enthronements and Ordinations officiated by H.H. Pope Tawadros II will take place in St. Mark Cathedral in Al Abassiya, Cairo, Egypt on June 9, 2019. The liturgy will begin at about 7:00AM Cairo Time.
