Coptic Bishop Ordinations – November 25, 2018

The Vespers and Divine Liturgy in which there will be Bishop Enthronements and Ordinations officiated by H.H. Pope Tawadros II will take place in St. Mark Cathedral in Al Abassiya, Cairo, Egypt on November 25, 2018. The liturgy will begin at about 7:00AM Cairo Time.

H.H. Pope Tawadros II will enthrone the following fathers:

  1. H.G. Bishop Eshak (Isaac) as Bishop of Tima, Egypt and all its vicinities.
  2. H.G. Bishop Markos as Bishop of Demiatta, Kafr El Sheikh, Al-Barari, & The Convent of St. Demiana, Egypt and their vicinities.

H.H. Pope Tawadros II will ordain the following fathers as Bishops:

  1. H.G. Bishop Arsanios, formerly Hegumen Fr. Morcos Al Abanouby, as Diocean Bishop of the Diocese El-Wadi El-Gedid & Al-Wahat, Egypt and their vicinities.
  2. H.G. Bishop Sawirus, formerly Hegumen Fr. Sawirus Avva Mina, as General Bishop to serve as supervisor for many new monastaries.
  3. H.G. Bishop Mikhail, fromerly Fr. Boles El-Muharaqi as General Bishop to serve in the Cairo area.
  4. H.G. Bishop Basil, formerly Hegumen Fr. Bishoy Abba Moses, as General Bishop to serve in the Southern Diocese of the United States.
  5. H.G. Bishop Gregory, formerly Hegumen Fr. Maximus Abba Moses, as General Bishop to serve in the Southern Diocese of the United States.
